Control system development for electromechanical components

Inclusion of electrical controls in agricultural equipment greatly improves efficiency, operator ergonomics and safety. Major challenge in realizing it is to find what is the best way to integrate it. Simcenter Amesim control library combined with its integration with Simulink environment, enables users to quickly model and validate control systems with minimal physical testing. 

To start, IMAMOTER co-simulated the electrohydraulic systems model using Simcenter Amesim software and the control strategy model developed using the MATLAB® environment and the Simulink environment. This helped IMAMOTER to uncover the factors behind slow control performances caused by high cycle periods in the electrohydraulic circuit on the ECU. It also enabled engineers to find alternative advanced control circuits. Overall it enabled IMAMOTER to avoid extensive and expensive test rig sessions.
