External Aerodynamics-Aircraft

Engineers at Irkut corporation were looking for better aerodynamic performance data than what they were able to get from tube experiments using scaled models. There were many inherent challenges associated with these experiments. During this phase they found the solution in Simcenter FLOEFD. FLOEFD accurately predicted the aerodynamic performance like lift and drag coefficients for varying angles of attack. They could also include Slats and Flaps to analyse the performance at high lift conditions.
