IGBT power modules cooling

Danfoss ShowerPower are an expert in providing thermal solutions for IGBT cooling. When designing a liquid-cooled system in FLOEFD they considered several issues in order to ensure a reliable solution. The permutation in the cooling system is quite large in order to arrive at an optimum design. They looked at many different channel dimensions for a range of flowrates. FLOEFD ultimately gave them the predictions of surface temperatures of IGBT before iterating to the final prototype and build it and test it.
