Liquid cooled nozzles for cutting tools

Mitsubishi material corporation are well equipped in producing Tungsten Carbide cutting tools for Lathe operations. Due to high heat generated during the machining operations, the tool life decreases. To overcome this challenge, different  cooling techniques are essential. The conventional techniques could not reach the hotspot and hence were inefficient. With the help of FLOEFD a L-shaped nozzle to spray coolant was developed to replace the existing techniques. The results showed impressive trends. The tool life was increased up to 40%.
