Sports car break cooling simulation
Brake cooling is a crucial area in motorsport and sports car engineering. A great amount of heat is dissipated during braking, especially when brakes are applied in SPorts car. Brake cooling efficiency is studied in Koenigsegg Regera using FLOEFD. With existing design as the base design, design iterations were performed until an optimum design was obtained. The proposed design increased the heat transfer rate to the surrounding by 14%, which is tremendous.
